Policies & Guest Information

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

  • Single-Night Bookings: No deposits are required, and no cancellation fees are charged. However, we appreciate a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations.

  • Multi-Room or Multi-Night Bookings: A 15% deposit may apply, along with a required 14-day cancellation notice.

  • Credit Card Requirement: Guests may need to provide a valid credit card at the time of booking.

Payment Information

  • All rates are in Canadian dollars and subject to applicable taxes.

  • Rates are based on single or double occupancy.

  • Payment Methods:

    • Visa, Master Card, Amex, ApplePay, Debit or Cash.

  • A 2-night minimum stay may be required during the high season.

Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-In Time: 4 PM to 6 PM local time

    • Late arrivals: Self-check-in instructions will be provided. Please call 506-622-7259 or email info@downeastcomfort.ca to arrange a late check-in to avoid disturbing other guests.

  • Check-Out Time: By 11 AM the following morning

Parking

  • One parking space per guest room is available in the main driveway.

  • Note: We cannot accommodate large vehicles such as motorhomes, call in advance to make arrangements.

Access During Your Stay

  • Guests will receive a front door code for access upon check-in.

  • Each bedroom is equipped with a lock and key.

  • Quiet entry is requested after 11 PM to respect other guests.

  • All guest rooms are located on the second floor and require climbing stairs.

Quiet Hours

  • Quiet hours begin at 10 PM on weekdays and 11 PM on weekends.

  • Please note that this is an older home with charming squeaky floors, so extra care during quiet hours is appreciated.

Wi-Fi

  • Complimentary Wi-Fi is available unless there is an unexpected service interruption.

Smoking and Open Flames

  • Smoking/Vaping: The B&B is entirely smoke- and vape-free.

  • Open Flames: For safety, candles and open flames are not permitted.

Pets

  • The B&B is a pet-free environment to ensure the comfort of all guests.

Housekeeping for Multi-Night Stays

  • For extended stays, fresh towels and bathroom amenities are available upon request.

Non-Registered Guests

  • Only registered guests are permitted on the property. If special arrangements are needed, please contact us prior to check-in.

Special Dietary Needs

  • Please inform us of any dietary concerns or preferences prior to or during check-in.

  • Breakfast is served daily from 8 AM to 10 AM. Menu options may vary and will be reviewed with you at check-in.

  • We are not an allergy free facility.
